While this site is normally dedicated to all things Renaissance Faire, that doesn’t mean I won’t cover similar types of events. So let’s talk about the announcement of the inaugural Space Coast Pirate Festival! The event will take place from October 20-22, 2023 in Viera, FL at the Space Coast Daily Park. The park will be turned into a pirate haven where families and friends can enjoy a pirate village with costumed reenactors, live music, and an atmosphere that will celebrate Florida’s rich maritime history.
Tickets
Initial ticket pricing is very reasonable. Adults (12 and older) are $10, Children (6-11) are $5, and children 5 and younger are free. Seniors (65 and older), Students, and Military can get theirs tickets for $8. The festival is pet friendly (all pets must be leashed) and a Pet Pass is $5. For those who want to camp, you can! Entertainment
As of now, entertainers, artisans, and food vendors are not listed. But, the website does state the festival will have pirate reenactments, costume contests, maritime exhibitions, live entertainment, and vendor stalls. And of course, what would a pirate festival be without a treasure hunt?! It will be a festival-wide event with riddles and puzzles to find the treasure.
